     •Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed then wipe dry straight away

    Cold Hand Wash Recommended

    For the longest lifespan, we recommend cold hand washing your garments and straps. This gentle method helps maintain the strength, shape, colour integrity and bleach-resistant performance of the fabric.

    Gentle Machine Wash

    If machine washing, use a cold, gentle cycle only. Always place items in a delicates bag to reduce friction, pulling or snagging.

    Avoid hot water, as heat can weaken fibres, affect the fit and reduce the overall lifespan of your pieces.

    2. Drying Instructions

    Air Dry Only

    After washing, reshape your items and hang or lay them flat in the shade to air dry.

    Avoid leaving items in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this may cause colours to fade over time.

    Do not tumble dry, as heat can shrink, weaken or distort fabric fibres.

    3. Bleach-Proof & Salon-Wear Fabric Care

    Our fabrics are designed for salon environments; however, they still require proper care to maintain their finish and longevity.

    If bleach, colour, developer or other salon chemicals come into contact with the fabric, wipe or rinse the area as soon as possible. For bleach contact, wipe immediately with a warm, damp cloth, then wipe dry straight away.

    Please also follow the below care tips:

    • Avoid prolonged exposure to strong lighteners, colourants or harsh chemicals where possible.
    • Do not leave wet, damp or soiled items bundled up, as this may cause marks, odours or fabric stress.
    • Store straps and pouches unfolded where possible to help them retain their shape and structure.

    4. Extra Tips for Long-Lasting Wear

    To keep your Ape The Label pieces looking their best:

    • Use mild detergents only.
    • Avoid detergents containing bleach, brighteners or enzymes.
    • Wash similar colours together.
    • Avoid washing dark items with light items.
    • Do not use fabric softeners, as they can affect fabric performance and strength.
    • Iron or steam on a low setting only if needed.
    • Avoid high heat on straps, prints, logos or hardware.

    5. Care Disclaimer

    Ape The Label is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect washing, heat drying, harsh laundry products or improper care.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Items caught, pulled or damaged in washing machines
    • Damage from bleach, colour or developer not wiped or rinsed promptly
    • Discolouration caused by washing powders, brightening agents or enzyme-based detergents
    • Dye transfer from other garments
    • Shrinking, warping or fabric damage caused by tumble drying or high heat
